USAHIV.com operates on the fundamental belief that HIV/AIDS organizations have an obligation to operate in an open and transparent manner. They need to be accountable to those they serve, their donors and in many instances the government agencies that provide vital funding.
Accountability and transparency, while a simple concept,is one that many have found a bitter pill to swallow. Others have stepped up to the challenge and operate with accountability and transparency as fundamental benchmarks of organization operations.
We will highlight both the best and the worst examples of transparency and accountability and will bring to light many of the “secrets” of the organizations who are failing to share vital financial and programmatic data.
